Hare Creek Center - 1250 Del Mar Drive, Fort Bragg
The proposed project would develop a 29,500-square foot (sq. ft.) shopping center, anchored by Grocery Outlet, on the project site. The project would occupy an existing 2.24-acre lot and would add 1.68 acres through a lot line adjustment, for a total of 3.92 acres. The shopping center would include three buildings totaling 29,500 square feet of retail space. Additional site improvements would include a 99-space parking lot, loading zones, rainwater storage tanks, utility connections, drainage improvements, signage, pedestrian improvements, a new access road, and landscaping. The 99-space parking lot, would include eight American with Disabilities Act (ADA)-accessible spaces, and two parking spaces for motor homes. The parking lot would have three terraces, one for each of the three buildings.

The Draft Environmental Impact Report is available for public review on March 22, 2018, and continues through May 22, 2018. The Draft Environmental Impact Report identifies the following significant environmental effect anticipated as a result of the project: Traffic and Transportation. During the review period, the City will conduct a public meeting on April 19, 2018, and receive public comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Report. The public meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on April 19, 2018, at Town Hall, at the corner of Main and Laurel Streets (363 North Main Street), Fort Bragg, California. The meeting will be opened for public participation. All interested persons are invited to appear at that time to present their written and/or oral comments. Written comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report may also be submitted at any time during the comment period to Scott Perkins, Special Projects Manager, City of Fort Bragg, 416 N. Franklin Street, Fort Bragg, CA 95437. All comments received during the comment period will be included and responded to in the Final EIR.
Once the Final EIR is completed, the City Council will hold a public hearing on an undetermined date and consider whether to certify the Final Subsequent EIR pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and to consider the Coastal Development Permit, Use Permit, and Design Review Permit for the proposed project.
